Join Us on May 7 in Washington, D.C. – Stand for the Karen People
On May 7, 2025, we are calling on all freedom-loving Americans, human rights defenders, and members of the Karen community and their allies to gather at the U.S. Capitol for Karen Day on Capitol Hill. This is not just a rally—it is a historic stand for justice, survival, and self-determination.
The Karen people of the Burma region have endured relentless airstrikes, forced displacement, and decades of brutal oppression under the Burmese military regime. Entire villages have been bombed and burned, yet the world remains silent.
Now is the time to amplify our voices, to say enough is enough, and to demand that U.S. leaders take bold action—not just words—to stand with the Karen people. We are gathering to call for:
An end to the airstrikes and violence
Support for self-governance and religious freedom for ethnic groups like the Karen
Stronger U.S. leadership to counter the influence of China and Russia propping up Burmese generals
Humanitarian aid and protection for displaced civilians
Whether you are Karen, an advocate for freedom, or simply someone who believes that every person deserves dignity and peace, we need you there.
Wear traditional Karen attire or a red “Make Kawthoolei Great Again” shirt, bring your voice, and help send a message to the world that we will not stand by while innocent lives are destroyed.
Let’s make May 7 a day that history remembers—a day when we showed up for justice.
